The explicit intent of the page (2022.t4c.pg.00)
The particular page that you are reading now should function as an introduction to the whole project. That being noted, Thaks4Coming (T4C) was my tag-line as a teen and through my 30-somethings. I made a page by that name in 1999. It was a ‘blog-essay-me’ page. This was before I knew of sites like myspace or facebook… I never really embraced those either. So, t4c was just a way for me to have my own little piece of ‘the web.’
This is actually the second revision - I stumbled upon the site in 2016 as well. At that time, I only made some minor updates. However, In my most recent finding of, 'the old me,' I decided to do a 2022 overhaul. This site is now mostly in html 5, uses some css, and javascript.
If you were wondering why I numbered it .00, this is because I always start counting at zero - don't you? Not really - I just thought it would be better to make .01 from the original content so an intro naturally got 'demoted' to .00. And, just wait until you get to page .02B. FYI - I got all 'wacky' with the naming scheme just to keep it as Page 2... That is why we have .02A and .02B...
In case you were wondering - these first three pages were not originally TMNT themed... They just kind of progressed that way... So, you will see a 'stark contrast moving in to .02B or Page 4 as it really should be named.
One other item that may be of interest to you: somewhere along the way I thought - why not make my index.html an actual index?! So, that if anyone navigates there or just happens to type in http://naccann.fun - they will be presented with my site's index, directory, catalog, etc. My hope is that the buttons and links are intuitive and help you navigate like a boss.
Final notes about updated content and material:
The content that is now available to you may figuratively paint a much different picture of (naccann)... Well, I should be older and wiser now... Should be - anyway... This is as opposed to the impression you may have gotten if you would have stumbled across the original (t4c) site in 1999. Please, do not ‘get me wrong’ or misunderstand my assertion. Pretty much all of the original content is here, but its presentation may be slightly altered. For instance, even this monologue for the introduction has been updated and/or annotated. I do believe this to more accurately represent my current worldview and not necessarily that of the 'original' author. I also think that this site continues where t4c left off or was pre-determined to go. My hope is that at the very least: this (blog) documents my understanding of what is true. Regardless, I have opted to leave an annotated version of my journey. The pages that follow contain the good, the bad, and the ugly. I honestly believe that all of this information needs to remain as both a testimony and a witness.
Speaking of incriminating and/or damning evidence:
The art depicted above and on the pages that follow is not mine. Various copyrights belong to: Marvel; Kevin Eastman, Peter Laird Nickelodeon (Paramount Global); Akira Toriyama, Takao
Koyama,Toei Animation, Funimation, Crunchyroll; Sam Keith. I have seemingly displayed some of their work on this site. I have done this for aesthetic appeal. In no way do I claim ownership or affiliation.
I also am not seeking remuneration in the form of increased traffic, views, or "clicks." I say, to the artists - be their due! However, I will also note that I am fairly certain that 'these images' are not protected
under any of their 'copyright statutes.' If you look closely, you will notice that I have only displayed: fan art, pictures of my purchased collectible items, and commercially protected istock photos. Contact
me if you find me to be in error and you would like for me to remove an image.
I would like to make as one last blurb of irony:
Grunge and Batman was the name of my original site. You can guess what I thought was cool in the 90's and what images appeared therein. Eventually I transitioned it to a Sam Kieth fan site. It was around that time that I changed the site name to (t4c). More so than anything else, the pictures that remain are there for this reminder: We are so quick to make our heroes into idols!
